Description:   Crist Engineers prepared a Water Supply Study that identified 3 alternatives for long term water supply.  The SPWA Board elected to pursue the development of a 3 MGD surface water treatment plant using Lake Unico (White River) as its water supply source.  Crist Engineers assisted the SPWA in securing all permits required for the project.  The 3 MGD water treatment plant project includes a three pump inclined pipe water intake structure with air burst cleaned intake screens, about 4,700 feet of 16 inch raw water line, a dual train ballasted flocculation/sedimentation system, multi-media filtration with combination air and water backwash, 490,000 gallon clearwell, chemical feed system, backwash pond, plant telemetry and controls, three high service pumps, operations building, and about 1100 feet of 16 inch finished water line.
